My current rate is 3 braids (folded over to make 6) per episode of Lost on Lovefilm. Each bunch has 15 long dreads or 30 count, so that’s…almost 7 hours of braiding per set of falls.

I never got into Lost, but whenever I make hair I normally need a box set style set up to keep me going

I am currently making braids for the Blonde/Pink/Aqua falls but will take custom orders at Kitacon if people want them.

The normal cost of a set of braid falls is £60, the two I am making for kita are made out of spare hair left over from previous orders hence the low price.

This is a cosplay event so we have lined up some lolita inspired colour combinations. We will only have 4 sets available at £30 for a long pair.

1. Blonde, with pink and blue

2. Brown with red.

Oh yes, hairfreax has been making synthetic hair for film, childrens programs, music videos and you…….since May 2000 and we are still here.

We have decided due to ecomonic pressures on pricing and materials that we will cease to to provide a made to order service as we have done for 11 years. We feel we have not had time to be creative as we did in our early days and we want to return to these roots.

Our influences have changed dramatically over the last 11 years, we started out as Cybergoth kids in Neon, transitioned to goth/fetish and now we have settled quite nicely with more burlesque, rockabilly and Japanese influences.

We are now part of a growing kimono community and you will see us at anime conventions as well as traditional japanese events a lot!

On this blog you will see our development and unique peices for the anime and cosplay crowd we see so often on our kimono exploits. Our main focus will be on dreadlock wigs, time consuming but rewarding pieces priced around £200.

We use top quality materials and each wig takes around 30-40 hours to complete depending on the specification. The blog is still very new so please be patient while we fill it up with good stuff and pictures.
